FAQ

Our chocolates and their storage

Where are your creations made?

Our creations are handmade in our small workshop in Montreal’s Sud-Ouest. We make the marshmallow for our Bil bears there and toast the kataifi for our Dubai chocolates. We design our labels in-house and have them printed in the neighbourhood.

Where does your single-origin dark chocolate come from?

We work with Bassan, a Quebec chocolate manufacturer based in Carleton-sur-Mer. Cocoa origins vary by chocolate; you will find the relevant origin on each single-origin chocolate’s product page. Where the chocolate is made and where the cocoa is grown are two different things.

How should I store my chocolates?

Store them at room temperature, ideally between 15 and 21°C, away from heat, humidity and light. Keep them protected from odours as well. Each product carries a date and labelling in both French and English.

Can I keep my chocolates in the refrigerator?

Yes, but take care to protect them from condensation and odours. Our general recommendation is room-temperature storage, ideally between 15 and 21°C. Check the instructions on your product as well.

How long do your products keep?

Shelf lives are calculated from the production date: 3 months for chocolate boxes, 2 months for fresh truffles, 4 months for Bil bears, 12 months for chocolate bars and 3 months for spreads. These periods do not start again when your order arrives. Refer to the date on your product and follow its storage instructions.

How should I store a spread after opening?

After opening, refrigerate caramel or fruit spreads to help them keep longer. Store praline spreads at room temperature, ideally between 15 and 21°C, away from heat, humidity and light. Always refer to the date and instructions on the label.

Where can I find ingredients and allergen information?

Check the product page and label. Recipes vary between creations. If you have an allergy or need more information, contact us before ordering so we can check your selection.

Ordering and getting in touch

Do you have a physical store?

Our Saint-Henri pop-up store is now closed. We continue to create our chocolates in our Montreal workshop and sell them through our online shop.

How much does shipping cost within Canada?

We ship anywhere in Canada for a flat rate of $12.95 CAD. Shipping is free on orders of $60 CAD or more.

When will my order ship?

Your order ships within 24 hours. This is the time needed to prepare your order and hand it to the carrier, not the delivery time to your address.

Can I receive my order the same day?

Same-day delivery is available on request. Call us at 514 515-8184 to check availability for your address and confirm the details before ordering.

Do you accept returns or refunds?

Because chocolate is perishable, we cannot accept returns or exchanges.

We will, however, review any issue involving an item that arrives damaged, defective or different from what was ordered.

What should I do if an item arrives damaged or incorrect?

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives and contact us promptly through our contact form.

If your request is approved, we may offer a replacement or refund depending on the circumstances. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and may take up to 10 business days to appear.

How can I contact you?

Use our contact form for questions about our products or an order.
